Catchy new release from Glasgow’s Weekend Debt.
Following their November single ‘Promposity’, indie-pop fourpiece Weekend Debt are back with their first release of the year titled ‘Why Don’t You Realise?’.
The new single features a melodic bassline, catchy guitar riffs and strong vocals from singer / songwriter Grant Scott as his Scottish accent shines through. The track changes pace a few times, and around the halfway mark the track slows down before exploding into a massive chorus that sounds huge.
“The song was written during lockdown about the frustration and jealousy that comes with still ‘fancying’ someone, and seeing them with someone you don’t feel deserves them.” – Grant Scott
We’ll be keeping an on Weekend Debt for more catchy and relatable indie tracks, and you should too!
