Five O Fives give us ‘Something To Do’ with brand new track
West Midlands based Indie Rock band Five O Fives are here with their sophomore single ‘Something To Do’ and we love it!
You would think that the song had been written during one of the many lockdowns, with the title perfectly summarising how we all feel being stuck at home, wanting to do more.
However, the track, led by a catchy staccato guitar riff (somewhat resemblant of the sound Nile Rogers has created on a guitar in the past) was actually written in November 2019 AKA pre-Corona times). Something To Do is primarily about ‘going out and having fun with your friends, drinking a little too much and maybe regretting it a bit the next day’.
It is safe to say that many people are understandably missing the social elements in life and will be able to relate to the ‘oh so familiar’ story this captivating song tells.
With a simplistic yet mellifluous sound, Something To Do creates a strong backbone for the Birmingham band moving forward. Pleasant harmonies that appear in the chorus, as well as a consistent guitar riff throughout the songs’ duration, make for a delightful listen and work well alongside the lead singers’ warm-hearted vocals.
Something To Do follows their debut single Through The Darkness, released in December. Along with The Sunset Beach Hut and Graywave, Five O Fives are part of the INDIE MIDLANDS management who plays host to a very talented group of artists and bands.
This track is the first of many singles the 4 piece are planning to release in 2021 – and what a way to start!
