Glass Peaks – ‘By My Side’ | New Music

Glass Peaks release their first single of 2021 with ‘By My Side’

Since releasing their debut EP ‘It’s Raining on the Wrong Side of the Window’, Glass Peaks have gained frequent support from BBC Introducing and Hoxton Radio, as well as selling out their last show at St Pancras Old Church in London.

The London hailing alt-indie band are back with a fresh sound this year and are writing as a two-piece for the first time with ‘By My Side’, which sees the duo take things down a dark electronic route. The eighties inspired track offers the bands perspective on 2020, looking back on how poorly the government handled the pandemic.

I suppose in its simplest form, the song is about longing or yearning for a feeling of normality. It’s about wishing things could go back to the way they once were.”  – Alfie Jefferies (vocals)

You can catch Glass Peaks live at their biggest headline show to date at Peckham Audio in June.
