The Pretty Visitors drop new tune ‘Head in the Sand’
These lads are an exciting bunch, starting off with a handful of demos to give us all just a taste of what they have in store, we’re now raring to hear their second studio single. Well I know i’m definitely excited for everyone to get their hands on it.
‘Head in the Sand’ focusses on that seemingly endless work grind, living to work and not working to live. The gruelling and sluggish nine to five life. Having to scrape your way through each day like that will certainly make you want to bury your head in the sand.
The lyrics are filled with spite and frustration for the rinse and repeat life we’ve all lived at some point. They attack the mundane and what everyone is thinking in understandable nihilistic manor. But the track builds and builds, reaching a glorious chorus that’s makes you want to flip that desk, lash out at your crappy boss and run off in to the sunset that never was. Yet you can’t because the bleak reality is, we’ve all got to make ends meet.
I’d say add some springy guitar sounds, a bass and a drum that give the well needed funk to the track, whack it all in a blender and you’ve got yourself ‘Head in the Sand’ but we all know it’s much more than that.
Swallowing you with feelings of small town revolution, ‘Head in the Sand’ could be a well needed eye opener for a lot of us, let’s just hope it is.
