Jamie Button – ‘Flashbang’ | New Music

Jamie Button releases new track ‘Flashbang’

A good song is, usually, something you can relate to.

The emotions it owns, the situation it’s describing, the lyrics, the melody.
That’s what Jamie Button’s new single “Flash Bang” has to offer.

The Glasgow-based singer/songwriter is back after releasing his debut solo single “Afterglow” in 2019 and helped him take over the year including having his sold out headline show at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut.

He claims that the song is about “A desire for moments of excitement in a world seemingly gone wrong” which, let’s be honest, we can definitely relate right now more than ever. It also talks about how uncomplicated things and how they can help you feel alive again, something we also can definitely relate to right now.

We don’t have to know each other’s name to decide if we’re doing this again. I’m not looking for a lifetime, just a flash bang.

The opening of the the song is giving me subtle vibes of 90s indie rock along with strong guitar riffs yet doesn’t overwhelms. Just like his previous songs, “Flash Bang” is well-written and almost feels like a story being told by a friend, making him a songwriter that’s worth looking out for.
