Alan Mcgee announces the Creation Day Festival for 2021!
A brand new festival is due to hit Wolverhampton in 2021 taking place on the 29th to the 30th of May called ‘Creation Day’.
The festival has been exclusively curated by Alan McGee and will take place at West Park.
The Line-Up is massive, with the likes of Editors and HappyMondays headlining with performances also from Echo and the Bunnymen, Cast and Friendly Fires.
Elsewhere there will be performances from the recently resurrected Sleeper and Echobelly, where you will be able to see Sonya Madan showcasing classics such as ‘King of the kerb’ and ‘Great Things’, from their 1995 album, ‘On’.
The festival will also do a brilliant job of showcasing brand new talent from McG ee’s current record label, Creation 23 with live sets from Marquis Drive, The Illicits, The Clockworks and Shambolics. There will also be a set from Heavy Lungs who are signed to Bailey Records (that of IDLES’ Joe Talbot and Mark Bent).
The line-up, is already evidently bursting with talent, however you should stand by for further announcements in the coming months.
Tickets for the festival are on sale now, a standard weekend ticket setting you back £110 with a day ticket costing £55.
