Chartreuse release new track ‘Enemy’s Belly’ on the way to second EP
With the EP coming up, the band are looking to keep momentum. This brings us to today’s (August 20th) release ‘Enemy’s Belly’. Listening to it next to ‘Tall Grass’, it’s evident this track is much more upbeat with the tempo of the drums and the delivery of the vocals.
“I sleep on the enemy’s belly‘ rolls off the lips of lead singer Michael Wagstaff, it sticks in the mind until the end of the song and well after that. The drums are potentially the highlight of the track, the beat is catchy and the slick little fills really set the song apart. The band keep it minimal as usual with everything having a purpose, and it’s all so good. Finally the production of the track, like all of their songs, is done to perfection.
This is another exquisite release from one of the finest bands in Birmingham, and I cannot wait for the EP. In the meantime, keep hitting replay on this one.
