The Roly Mo release raw new track ‘Control Yourself’
Glasgow indie-rock outfit The Roly Mo have unleashed their second impressive single of the year titled ‘Control Yourself’.
Since kicking off in 2019 the 4-piece have taken Glasgow’s thriving punk scene by storm with their chaotic live sets. You can usually catch them supporting bands like The Dunts and Rasclaton or playing festival sets for EH6 fest and tenement trail.
The track follows big singles ‘Diamond Doll’ and ‘I’ll Be Happy When You Die’ which are taken from their upcoming debut EP titled ‘TRM’ currently set for release on 11th September this year.
Sonically ‘Control Yourself’ is driven by its upbeat Strokes-esque guitar melodies and features an intoxicating sing-along chorus and a fuzzy bass line. This sound is perfectly complemented by frontman Joe Morton’s smooth and charismatic vocals telling us a story about a “rough night”.
Overall, the track is confident yet vulnerable with gritty and honest lyrics. Its easy to see why The Roly Mo have risen to success and cemented themselves such a good reputation within the Glasgow scene.
