Lucas Watt releases new single, ‘Kind of Funny’
Upcoming West-Yorkshire-based artist, Lucas Watt, has released his shining new single, ‘Kind of Funny’.
Taking inspiration from the likes of Sam Fender, ‘Kind of Funny’ is a fierce anthem for Generation Z, with lyricism about stumbling through life and searching for entertainment. Soaring guitars rise over power-driven choruses, jumping between singalong vocal hooks and vibrantly rich saxophone solo sections.
Watt is highly cynical in his song-writing, examining the way fake news has become accepted as the new normal, and how people are often desensitised to seeing it.‘Kind of Funny’ is Watt’s second release of the year so far, after releasing ‘I Don’t Feel Fine’ back in April. In 2019, he debuted his first EP, along with playing multiple headline shows, touring with JP Cooper, and featuring on the Live at Leeds line-up.
His latest single cements him as one of the key voices for this generation, blending fiery melodies with hard-hitting lyrical content.
