Southampton’s Myriad drop new track ‘Afterglow‘
Following up the spring release of ‘I Walk‘, indie four-piece Myriad are back with latest single ‘Afterglow‘ – it’s another promising addition to their discography, possibly one of their best releases yet.
The band are building something of a positive reputation for their socially-conscious campaigns and their livestreams have been a welcoming space for people in the wider Myriad community to connect and discuss whatever might be on their mind.
Their positive messaging is reflected in the sound of ‘Afterglow’. Their uplifting indie-rock sound takes on an arena-ready quality reminiscent of Sundara Karma and Circa Waves here, the thumping drums in the pre-chorus giving way to stadium-sized riffs in the chorus itself as frontman David Littleton questions “Why all the stories that we wrote/They only made us feel alone”.
There’s more to come in the not-so-distant future from Myriad. Keep an eye on the Southampton quartet, as they’re making some serious moves. If their last couple of releases are anything to go by, the future looks very exciting indeed.
