Newcastle’s Club Paradise claim their Single of the Week
There was one song that completely stopped us in our tracks for the first week of February – and that was ‘Teenagers’, the latest and greatest offering from Geordie foursome Club Paradise. The feel good electro bop is our track of the week, and an absolutely gorgeous taste of things to come from the band.
Ryan, Jackson, Nathan and Harry have been making offensively smooth waves across the North East for the better part of 5 years now. Each track tends to curate the best parts of any given moment in time, and is executed with their trademark buoyance, electricity and – frankly – perfection. From last year’s ‘Kirby Keger’, the boys have stuck with their nostalgic theme for ‘Teenagers.’ We just sort of wish we had this level of infectious excellence back then, too.
Club Paradise wanted to give us ‘something more personal’ with Teenagers. If you’ve followed their journey from their fresh faced days as ‘Street Party in Soho’, it’s nearly impossible not to hear the progression and confidence in ‘Teenagers.’ They’ve grown up together literally and in their sound, and we love this track all the more for it.
The ‘Mid-Twenties’ crisis is a bit of a millennial phenomenon but trust us when we say it’s all too real! Whether you’re looking back at uncomplicated times of young love being stronger than your wifi connection, or wistfully siting at the desk of your sales job writing up a music review in a career you wished you’d pursued – Club Paradise, as always, have our backs.

Music loving Geordie with a soft spot for cassettes and vinyl.
If you’re in an unsigned band, I’m probably your biggest fan.
Mid-twenties (so, 100 in gig-going years).
