Queen Zee join The Zutons on Tour | Tour News

One of the most promising bands, team up with one of the most trusted bands

After a 9 year hiatus, Noughties Indie icons The Zutons are back on the road, and they’re taking Liverpool’s finest with them.

Queen Zee will be joining their fellow Liverpudlians at a total of 6 shows, which concludes with a huge hometown date at the Olympia, on 6th April. Queen Zee are certainly not there to make up the numbers however. Frontperson Zee states that they’re the antidote to a ‘bland wave of apathetic crap’.

Their previous live shows have garnered storming reviews, and they manage to translate the energy on their recently released self titled debut album, into a live environment, better than most.

Their sound is akin to that of Cage the Elephant, however the lyrics tackle issues regarding homophobia, transphobia and feminism. Although Zee is also quoted as saying that there is a ‘stupid’ side to the band, within songs such as ‘Sass or Die’ from their debut, which is ‘simply about having a good time’
