#3 WFM Music Pile-Up | ft. GURU

Third Week of the Round-Up including Guru,Make Friends, BADLAWS and more!

With us being sent so much music on a weekly basis it’s difficult to review them all! So we’ve created a little space where we can share a bunch of new music which we simply couldn’t fit in! Hope you Enjoy!

Guru – ‘Suntrap’

GURU have entered 2019 with a bang, as ‘Suntrap’ blends noise rock with pop sensibilities. The rushed manor of the track really vamps up the energy, and when you have the guitars going haywire it just adds to the chaos. A great start to the year for another top Brighton act!

Make Friends – ‘Talk Tomorrow’

Make Friends are back with their second track of the year ‘Talk Tomorrow’ and it could be argued that it’s the better one of the two great tracks. The soft vocals bed well with the subtle riff and tied down drum beat.

BADLAWS – ‘Break’

Break’ marks the first track for BADLAWS this year and it’s inviting. The riff is violent and the vocals have a similar swagger to that of YONAKA’s. A good performance from the Brighton band!

Bdrmm – ‘Heaven’

Hope you’re in the mood for some dream-pop, because that’s what Bdrmm bring. Their sound has hints of DIIV, however it leans more on the mellow side.

French Beaches – ‘Tongue Tied’

French Beaches have also made their mark on 2019 with ‘Tongue Tied’, as they take influence from The 1975 in their early days. The song is dunk on pop, with it’s sun-kissed rhythm and synths.

Basement Club – ‘Home’

Basement Club are back with some classic 00’s indie style music, as ‘Home’ feels has all the attitude of a lad rock band. The riff could potentially make the track a floor filler, along with the powerful vocal performance.
