The Claremonts release New Track ‘Surprise Surprise’
The Claremonts make their debut here at WFM with their brand new single release ‘Surprise Surprise’. The band hail from the beautiful Manchester, taking influences from The Libertines, The Smiths, Franz Ferdinand among many others. Taking influences from such indie legends their music does reflect it somewhat, in the best of ways.
‘Surprise Surprise’ has all the edginess of an indie rock track with rough and catchy cuts. It shows some similarities to The Cribs ‘Martell’ with the sharp stabs on the guitar on the chorus. With the jangly guitars and the way the vocals are delivered you can definitely see The Libertines seep in, creating a great song. Although they draw all these similarities, the band very much have their own feel and offer something completely different!
