The Hubbards Release New Track ‘Good When I’m Done’
There is something infectious about Hull four-piece The Hubbards. Surging to the forefront of the over-saturated indie-rock genre by toppling Spotify’s Indie List, where the likes of Wolf Alice and The Wombats reign, The Hubbards have attained overwhelming recognition and acclaim.
Every song, with their melodic ambition and hard-hitting choruses, gets under your skin. Their latest release ‘Good When I’m Done’ is just another reaffirmation that The Hubbards are one of the single most promising bands of their kind – far more than that, they are delivering on that promise.
Reuben Driver’s vocals are driven to despair which, undoubtedly, is the greatest ace up their sleeve. Impassioned cries of “She’s in love with a thought” matches the immensity of their contagious, air-tight instrumentation. Their fluctuation between harmonising and Driver’s vocals alone is what will make this song chant-worthy.
Every song by The Hubbards – ‘Good When I’m Done‘, in particular – is expansive enough to not only run parallel in quality when played live, but potentially overtake the recorded version. ‘Anthemic’ is the word that will always come to mind with this band, and ‘Good When I’m Done’ is the greatest example of this to date.

You know that feeling you get when you listen to some truly great music? When it stirs up a restless passion inside you that won’t settle until you’ve shared it, until you’ve told the world about the song they didn’t realise they needed? That’s the reason why I write: that, and because I’m no good at anything else. Contact: email@example.com
