Sophie and the Giants Release New Track ‘Bulldog’
Sophie and the Giants formed less than a year ago and are already taking the DIY scene by storm. Today they released the first single from their Debut EP, ‘Adolescence‘
The track, ‘Bulldog‘, is dominated by Sophie’s powerful vocals, accompanied by a melodic and funky riff. Their indie-pop style seems to be influenced by the likes of Black Honey and Anteros, but at the same time Sophie and the Giants have taken the genre and created something new and refreshing.
The release date of ‘Adolescence‘ is yet to be announced, but they have revealed the concept of the songs- ‘The EP consists of 3 tracks that are all about overcoming challenges you face when becoming an adult. Facing up to the demons is the first step.’
‘Bulldog‘ represents this concept perfectly, with the line in the chorus, ‘look into the eyes of the bulldog’ reflecting their idea of facing your demons head on.

I’m an 18 year old in South Wales with a love for live music. Aspiring journalist who just wants to make a mark on the DIY indie scene. Love nothing more then a good old dance with my pals. Have a particular soft spot for animals and bass guitars. My favourite bands are Strange Bones and Enter Shikari- I love energetic artists that aren’t afraid to cross genres.
